Kerrie Warne, Silver Lake NewStart Director

Mrs. Kerrie Warne is the program director at Silver Lake NewStart. Mrs. Warne has 13 years of management and marketing experience; the last 6 in the healthcare field. Mrs. Warne has completed a12 month management by statistics program in 2006 and a 9 month community leadership program in 2003. Prior to working in the management field, Mrs. Warne worked in education which has greatly contributed to her management style. She puts a great emphasis on providing potential patients with the resources and education they need to make the best surgical weight-loss decision for them. She is driven to make sure each patient has the best care possible and highest satisfaction with the Silver Lake NewStart program.

Mrs. Warne works to ensure the bariatric program has all the resources needed to provide the care and support you need. In addition, she supplies support and direction for clinical and support staff.

In addition to her work at NewStart, Mrs. Warne runs TyREDD, an organization she created in remembrance of her son Tyler to raise awareness of the dangers of drowsy driving.

Shronda Tayes-Terrel, Silver Lake NewStart Assistant Director

As assistant director, Shronda manages the day to day operations of the NewStart department. She is also responsible for our BOLD information which ensures we remain in compliance with the Bariatric Surgery Center of Excellence requirements.

Shronda completed her Bachelors of Arts degree at Fontbonne University and is currently working towards her Masters of Arts degree at Webster University.

Stephanie Cody, RN, CBN, Program Coordinator

Stephanie provides nursing support to patients and acts as the go between, with patients and their surgeon, hospital staff and doctor’s offices. As a certified bariatric nurse, Stephanie, is experience in bariatric patient’s unique needs and is trained to do adjustments on gastric band patients.

Stephanie became a registered nurse in 1995 and has spent most of her career working in an acute care setting such as ICU, Cardiovascular Recovery and Cardiac Catheterization Lab. She joined Silver Lake Hospital in 2009 to work in Bariatrics and has since passed her examination to become a Certified Bariatric Nurse.
